Deadpool, designated X0101, is a character portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in the 2018 film, Deadpool 2. He is not the central Deadpool of the film, but rather a version from an alternate timeline or reality.
This iteration of Deadpool is presented as a member of X-Force, a mutant task force. However, his tenure is incredibly brief. In a darkly comedic sequence, he and the other X-Force recruits are killed in rapid succession during their first mission due to hilariously unfortunate circumstances.
His appearance is essentially identical to the main Deadpool, with the same red and black suit and signature weaponry. The humor surrounding this character stems from the subversion of typical superhero team introductions and the sudden, brutal, and unexpected deaths of the new X-Force members.
